Years ago, the Lord gave Danny and I three M’s and told us we would be a bridge to help the bride (church) into a more intimate relationship with the bridegroom (Jesus). Our three M’s:
- Missions
- Mentoring
- Marriage
The Lord continues to remind Danny and I what He has spoken over us and the promises He is unfolding. Part of the unfolding is Hilo Ministries and Kingdom Direction being braided together to go into all the world and make Disciples from a little town in Texas. The nations will gather at Hilo Ministries! The puzzle pieces continue to fit together like a beautiful Kingdom Mosaic.
*Hilo Ministries is temporary housing for missionaries who are on the “front lines” around the world. Those who have said, “yes Lord, send me”. The very ones who risk their lives daily as they share the gospel, disciple, and love the lost in the most difficult circumstances, even at the cost of their own lives. Here at Hilo Ministries they can find rest, heal, be poured into, and go back to the mission field with strength and passion.
*Kingdom Direction is our ministry designed to bring change, growth, and healing to individuals or couples by allowing the Holy Spirit to be an integral part of the process. I (Kay) am a Certified Christian Life Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors and together Danny and I are Marriage Coaches (see the “About Us” page).
The missionaries coming to stay with us on our 12 acres can receive healing individually and or in their marriage if they choose. The mission field is very hard on individuals and marriages as you can imagine. Housing and Coaching will be at no charge to our missionaries residing on our property. Hilo Ministries is a 501c3. As a graduate of Iris Global Harvest School for Missionaries, I have access to missionaries all over the world as well as many friends through YWAM. We pray and believe many will come here for rest and restoration, whether it is a missionary preparing to leave for the field, one in the field, or a family needing a sabbatical.

I was contacted about a year ago from a missionary I met in South Africa who is from Brazil (I do have permission to share her story). She was in a lot of pain emotionally and didn’t think she could go back out to the mission field even though that was the desire of her heart. I worked with her for a year under our ministry Kingdom Direction. She called me just a few weeks ago from the plane as she set back out this time to be a missionary in Germany. She is now helping Ukraine refugees with the emotional pain they are walking through. The Lord is incredible, I can’t begin to tell you how we were rejoicing and shouting together as she boarded the plane. The Lord is definitely “The Way Maker”.
